If you have an keen understanding of environmental health and safety requirements, Mack Molding would like to discuss an opportunity to join the Company’s Statesville, N.C., facility as an EHS manager – a critical role that not only serves as a liaison between all regulatory agencies and the company to assist in regulatory compliance procedures, but also an adviser to management on EHS issues.
The EHS manager is responsible for overall EHS compliance management and direct support of all aspects of the plant programs for environmental, health and safety. This includes preparing and submitting various forms/documents such air permits and NSPS for environmental permitting associated with the Clean Air Act; storm water permits and NPDES utility water discharge permits related to the Clean Water Act; and EPCRA reporting. Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining and implementing all environmental policies, procedures and plans, including the SWPPP, SPCC, pellet loss prevention, emergency management and bloodborne pathogens. He/she maintains RCRA hazardous waste management compliance, including required training, inspections, waste manifests and reporting as required due to generator status; as well as completes checklists, inspections and facility audits for compliance with Mack Molding’s environmental, health and safety policies. The EHS manager also presides over and leads environmental, safety and health related teams, including the Pollution Prevention Team, EHS Review and Safety Committee.
Candidates must be strong communicators with a two-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate also must be able to understand, implement and support the facility’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
