Mack Molding’s Statesville, N.C., facility is searching for a help desk technician to join its IT team. It is a great opportunity for a tech savvy individual with proven help desk or customer support experience. As part of the Mack Molding Southern Division technology team, the IT help desk technician supports the organization’s enterprise customers by serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, ticketing system, or email. This role is responsible for rendering remote and on-site assistance, as well as troubleshooting, resolving and/or escalating requests for resolution. Additional responsibilities include imaging and repairing desktops/laptops, and inventorying, configuring and deploying telecom devices, desktop computers, laptop computers, tablets and printers. He/she also will manage users on PCs and phone systems, conduct quarterly PM maintenance schedules on each server and design shipping labels using BarTender software.
Successful candidates must have enterprise level experience, including two years in a help desk technician or other customer support role, and experience with Microsoft Office 2016/O365, IBM client access, I-Series (AS/400), and Windows 7 and 10 platforms. He/she should also have excellent written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills, polished telephone etiquette and a keen focus on providing outstanding customer service. Working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control connectivity to PCs is necessary, along with a good understanding of networks, wiring, TCP, DHCP, Active Directory, computer systems, mobile devices, printers, switches, scanners and other tech products. The ideal candidate will have the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues; know how to configure and install network laser and barcode printers; and have experience with Hyper-V experience and VM clustering.
