Mack’s philosophy reflects a deep commitment to the communities in which it operates. Examples include:
- Employment support for Crystal House, a social and vocational center in Gardner, Mass., and member of the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition.
- Improvement of the Town Hall property in Cavendish, Vt., to include a town playground and park, including a gazebo-style roof, picnic tables and sandboxes.
- Donation of a 92-acre parcel of land appraised at $100,000 to the Arlington Area Childcare organization for a new early care and education center for Arlington youth, ages eight weeks to 12 years.
- Space renovation for Arlington's day care center, including the installation of a firewall and firesafe doors, new windows and a playground.
- Ongoing sponsorship of the Battenkill Duck Derby, the day care center’s annual fundraiser.
- Improvements to the Cavendish Little League Field, including a new backstop, sod, bases, a scoreboard, and materials and labor to install fencing, build bleachers and paint.
- Contribution to Arlington Memorial High School, which resulted in a new technology center with 25 new computers.
- Seed money to build a teen center - Burdette Commons - in Arlington.
- Donation to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for major renovations to the area’s only hospital.

Ongoing sponsorship of runners and walkers in the annual Komen New Hampshire-Vermont Race for the Cure.
- Major contribution to the Mack Performing Arts Center, Arlington Memorial High School, which includes a 140-seat theatre, stage, theatre lighting, stage curtains, dance studio, canopy, outdoor courtyard, and space for music classes, oratory presentations and literary activities.
- State-of-the-art flooring and acoustical ceiling tiles for Fisher Elementary School's renovation of its multi-purpose room.
- Sponsorship of other Arlington Memorial High School programs, including: regular visits by nationally acclaimed poets; faculty attendance at the annual Dodge Poetry Festival; Wall Street Journal subscriptions for Economics class; job shadowing opportunities; AAU Girls' Basketball sponsorship; two AAU BB trips to ESPN & Disney; 2007 Soccer Classic; and Youth Soccer Trip to England.
