That is why Mack’s opportunity for a Shipper/Receiver to join the first shift team at its Cavendish facility is a unique chance to have an impact on the organization.
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for organizing and conducting movement of product, work-in-process, finished goods and materials for maximum efficiency. Within this role, he/she straps, bands and wraps product for shipment; operates material handling equipment, such as hand jacks and motorized fork lifts; and moves palletized material, including loading and unloading trucks and moving material within the plant. The Shipper/Receiver must have a keen eye for detail in order to maintain accurate records of material transfers, operate scales accurately and communicate with transportation suppliers regarding shipping and receiving of goods. Additional responsibilities include producing various shipping/receiving reports; tracking inventory transactions and coordinating shipping/receiving functions; and assisting with coordinating trucking schedules for out-bound shipments.
The ideal candidate will have previous similar experience, a high school diploma or GED and an understanding of manufacturing environments and material flow. Additionally, a successful candidate will have the ability to use computers, as well as have strong inventory tracking and organization skills.
