This position is tuned to a candidate who can combine the heart of an explorer, technical know-how and an analytical mind to shepherd existing and new business, from concept through prototyping through product launch and realization all the way through program end of life. He/she will use available information, intuition and past experience to analyze challenges and provide alternative solutions. You will be a vital team member with significant access to the breadth of the organization, working with program management, purchasing and other functional areas at all levels to drive operations efficiently, economically and effectively as we strive to fulfill Mack’s mission of Total Customer Satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of technical expertise and skill, along with a working knowledge of statistical techniques, sampling plans and quality system regulations. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, bio-medical, manufacturing or electrical engineering, or physics, math, statistics, chemistry or biology, coupled with three or more years of experience is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with lean manufacturing experience and ASQ Quality Engineering Certification. Along with a keen focus on design and quality, candidates also will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with the ability to be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a penchant for project management and good customer service. Additionally, he/she will need to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.
