Mack is currently looking for molding manager to plan, coordinate and develop personnel in the molding department at its Statesville, N.C., facility. Key responsibilities include coordinating the activities of department leaders and lead technicians while generally supporting personnel to meet manufacturing objectives. The molding manager provides leadership to maintain production standards, scrap rates and cycle times, as well as accountability for established standards. He/she takes corrective action when necessary, and conducts regular meetings with peers, staff and/or employees regarding issues such as safety, quality, housekeeping and production. Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining departmental set-up/start-up processes; identifying training needs, and coordinating training and development objectives for manufacturing personnel; and working with Quality to ensure the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction. This role offers a great way to integrate with the Mack team while building relationships with many internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a two-year college degree or equivalent experience, along with five or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Successful candidates also will exhibit strong leadership, organizational and management skills, coupled with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, as well as customers. The molding manager should have familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software.
