Mack is currently looking for molding manager to plan, coordinate and develop personnel in the molding department at its Cavendish, Vt., facility. Key responsibilities include ensuring daily schedule, quality and production goals are met; troubleshooting problems as required; and providing technical leadership for the department, including recommending and implementing equipment, process and material enhancements. This role calls for an analytical problem solver with a mind for continuous improvement who can utilize workforce utilization, space requirements and work flow coupled with data gained from tracking efficiency, quality, scrap and rework to deliver improvements. This role offers a great way to integrate with the Mack team while building relationships with many internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in engineering, with five or more years of experience in injection molding. Successful candidates also will have a background in manufacturing management, including supervisory and project management experience. The molding manager should have familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software with three to five years of experience with ERP systems. Specific knowledge of MAPICS software is a plus. Additionally, he/she should have the strong math and problem solving abilities, as well as effective communication skills.
