Mack Molding, a leading custom plastics molder and contract manufacturing services supplier located right here in Vermont, is growing and currently has opportunities for a press maintenance supervisor at its Cavendish, Vt., facility.
In many cases Mack functions as the manufacturing arm of its customers, a responsibility that can be met thanks in large part to the team members working on our preventative maintenance program. If you have the knowledge, energy and drive to hit the ground running in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, Mack would like to give you the opportunity to work on projects for some of the top fortune 500 companies, as well as start-up companies. You will help maintain machinery, processes and tooling to maximize efficiency and quality of production, including managing the preventative maintenance program. Additional responsibilities include maintaining required inventories to support maintenance functions, pushing forward and participating in cost reduction initiatives and performing quality inspections. He/she also will operate various assembly, production equipment and hand tools, as well as read and follow work instructions, procedures, policies, safety procedures and complete various forms and reports. Safety is key, and the Press Maintenance Supervisor helps ensure the cleanliness, orderliness and safe operation of the presses. Additionally, this role is responsible for training new employees, providing performance feedback and delivering performance evaluations.
The ideal candidate will have basic electrical, plumbing and hydraulic knowledge and experience along with a two-year college degree. Successful candidates also will have the ability to see, read and follow instructions/procedures/policies, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork and cooperation.
