Mack’s process engineering supervisor is key to organization’s success, leading and mentoring salaried and hourly employees who provide technical support in the molding room. As a process engineering supervisor you will work with the molding room manager to ensure daily schedules, quality and production goals are met, as well as troubleshoot problems as required. Additional responsibilities include providing technical leadership, such as recommending and implementing equipment, process and material enhancements, as well as analyzing and planning technical workforce utilization, space requirements and work flow. This includes designing layouts for equipment and workspaces. This highly visible role also requires effective communication as the process engineering supervisor must maintain constructive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on Mack’s mission of Total Customer Satisfaction. He/she also coordinates WIP and process improvements, and researches and makes recommendations on production and auxiliary equipment procurement, including identifying new technologies and expansion plans.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, along with five years or more years on experience in injection molding, processing and troubleshooting. Specific experience in manufacturing management, including supervision and project management, is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, as well as three to five years of experience with ERP systems, preferably with MAPICS software.
