Mack is seeking a project engineer to assist with management of existing and new customers. This includes planning, product realization and providing team leadership with a focus on profitability, account growth and Mack’s mission of Total Customer Satisfaction.

The project engineer provides support to both program management and outside sales, including assisting with new business development through information gathering and proposal preparation. Additional responsibilities include ensuring services performed meet applicable regulatory requirements, supporting resource requirements and assisting with financial tracking and cost management. This is a highly visible role that works not only across all levels of the organization, but also directly interfaces with customers regarding schedule, quality and engineering issues. Organization and attention to detail are key to this position, as the project engineer ensures documentation, such as bill of materials, drawings, electronic files, specifications and purchase orders, are complete and controlled. He/she also maintains program information, including 2D prints, 3D files and engineering change orders, while supporting business continuity planning and continuous risk assessment.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. He/she should be a problem solver with the ability to lead team members to prioritize and keep projects on schedule. The project engineer will need working knowledge of various computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheet, design, order processing and project management software. The ability to utilize process flow diagrams, FMEA and control plans also will be key.
