In fact, Mack has an opening for a Plant Maintenance team member on the first shift at its Cavendish Plant in beautiful Vermont.
Responsibilities include maintaining facility buildings, systems, equipment and tools; conducting building construction projects; and performing machine and auxiliary equipment design, fabrication and repair. Plant Maintenance personnel also operate hand and motorized forklifts to safely handle various materials. In addition to operating hand and motorized forklift devices, the role is includes using metering instruments, hand and power tools, as well as working on production equipment, HVAC systems, boilers, chillers and air compressors.
The ideal candidate will have a one-year certificate from college or technical school or three years of related experience and/or training. He/she must have a good mechanical aptitude; the ability to work in a safe, efficient and independent manner; as well as basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and welding knowledge skills. Successful candidates will show they can professional meet the needs of their internal customers and have the demonstrated ability to read and understand schematics and blue prints.
