Mack’s Inman, S.C., facility is looking for a second-shift quality analyst to provide continual analysis of manufacturing product from production startup through end of run, including analyzing and approving first piece submissions, analyzing parts being manufactured through visual and dimensional inspections and documenting the analysis of these essential responsibilities.
As the manufacturing arm for our customers, Mack has built a worldwide reputation as a reliable provider of plastic injection molding services and contract manufacturer in a number of diverse markets, including medical, industrial, transportation, energy/environment, computer and business, and consumer products. Quality analysts play a crucial role in maintaining that reputation as they deliver on Mack’s goal of Total Customer Satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include assisting manufacturing personnel in understanding the quality requirements, specifications, process and inspection methods for the specific job, as well as documenting and assuring containment through the appropriate systems when nonconformances are identified. Quality analysts also communicate to appropriate personnel when non-conformance is detected, work with manufacturing to address issues of non-conformity and proper resolution, and gather and plot SPC data, as required, for controlling process and product.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, along with the ability to correctly utilize metrology equipment to perform required product inspections. Successful candidates also will have the ability to interface with internal customers to resolve product quality issues. Applicants must be able to pass a color vision test and vision must be 20/20 or correctable to 20/20.
