As the manufacturing arm for our customers, Mack has built a worldwide reputation as a reliable provider of plastic injection molding services and contract manufacturer in a number of diverse markets, including medical, industrial, transportation, energy/environment, computer and business, and consumer products. Many would say the shift technician is where rubber meets the road in molding.
The objectives of this position are to optimize the repeatability and efficiency of production, ultimately achieving the high level of product quality our customers demand. By using your knowledge and expertise of hand tools and machinery, including injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, to maintain machinery and tooling, as well as to troubleshoot equipment and machinery for production by quickly identifying and efficiently correcting part defects, press issues and other equipment problems, you will play a key role in achieving our mission of Total Customer Satisfaction. Additionally, the shift technician performs die setting functions, along with initial job startups for samples and production; maintains required inventories to support maintenance functions; and participates and drives cost reduction initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree or certificate from a two-year college or technical school. Additionally, he/she should have the ability to troubleshoot minor electrical and hydraulic problems.
