ARLINGTON, Vt. (July 28, 2015) – Mack Molding, a leading custom plastics molder and supplier of contract manufacturing services, announced today Larry Hovish, an accomplished marketing communications professional with 15 years of experience, has been appointed director of communications, reporting to President Jeff Somple.
“With experience as both a journalist and a marketing communications leader in the fields of manufacturing and medical devices, Larry brings an extensive skill set to help Mack leverage the strength of its story with our external and internal stakeholders,” Somple said. “Throughout the years Mack has grown into a truly dynamic, geographically-diverse Company, and Larry has the proven track record of engaging employees, drawing on shared experiences to drive growth at all organization levels.”
Prior to joining Mack, Mr. Hovish most recently served as Sr. Communications Manager at Albany, N.Y.-based medical device company, AngioDynamics Inc. He previously gained experience working for French multinational Alstom’s transport division and various Upstate New York newspapers. Mr. Hovish has a bachelor’s in liberal arts from the State University of New York, where he was a dual major in mass communications and political science.
Mr. Hovish will have marketing communications responsibilities for Mack’s northern and southern divisions along with Mack Prototype, a prototyping and low-volume manufacturing facility in Massachusetts; and Synectic, an engineering services group in Connecticut.
