FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ARLINGTON, Vt. – Mack Molding Company has just hired two senior professionals in the areas of marketing communications and plant operations. Julie Horst has rejoined the staff as director of communications, and Bud Pagliccia has accepted the position of plant manager, East Arlington facility. “We’re positioning ourselves for renewed growth,” says Jeff Somple, president of Mack’s Northern Operations. “Adding experienced staff in the key areas of plant operations and marketing communications demonstrates our commitment to investing in and fostering that growth.”
Horst has worked in the marketing communications field for more than 20 years, with over half of that tenure in the plastics industry. Her most recent experiences include serving as press relations manager for GE Plastics, Pittsfield, Mass.; two years in marketing and public relations for Southwestern Vermont Medical Center; private consulting work; and the position at Mack, to which she has now returned. “Mack has spent the last three years redefining its place in the market, which presents many opportunities for a vigorous and effective public relations and marketing effort to tell the Mack story to new audiences,” says Somple. “Julie is returning to Mack at an exciting timeā¦her experience in our industry will have an immediate impact on our communications efforts.” Horst holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Indiana State University.
Pagliccia comes to Mack with 17 years of manufacturing experience with such companies as Boston Whaler, a fishing boat manufacturer in Florida; Reebok International, the athletic footwear and apparel giant; and Questech Metals in Vermont, which caters to clients like Polo, Disney, Sears and Harley Davidson. Most recently, Pagliccia was vice president of operations for Ralphco Inc., a custom injection/blow molder in Worcester, Mass. “For the past year, we have had one person managing our two Arlington manufacturing facilities,” adds Somple. “The good news is that our current and projected activity level will no longer allow that scenario. Bud brings a wealth of manufacturing and management experience, as well as an energetic personal leadership style that will be contagious.” Pagliccia holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Nichols College, Dudley, Mass.
Mack is a full-service contract manufacturer that specializes in plastics design, prototyping and molding, as well as sheet metal fabrication. The company operates 12 facilities throughout the eastern United States and Scotland totaling 1.5 million square feet of manufacturing space. For further information, call 802-375-2511.
