The Mack team is counting down the days until we escape the Northeast winter for Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., Feb. 6-8, 2018.

The world’s largest annual medtech attracts more than 20,000 industry professionals coming together for three days of sourcing, networking and education. Mack will have a significant presence with a prominent location – Booth No. 2615 – where the Company’s senior management and sales teams will introduce attendees to our capabilities as a full-service contract manufacturer with specialties in plastics design, prototyping, molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining and turnkey system assembly.

The most important piece of the puzzle, however, is you! That is why we are extending an invitation to our friends, old and new, to take advantage of free expo admission – a $149 value! Simply enter promo code SPECIAL when registering to claim your complimentary expo pass or a 20% discount on your conference pass to take advantage of the education tracks.

For more than 30 years, MD&M West has been connecting industry-leading suppliers with the latest products and technology, helping bring products from concept to market. In addition to unparalleled networking opportunities and educational content, MD&M West is collocated with synergistic events like Plastec West, Design & Manufacturing Pacific, ATX West, Electronics West and WestPack, offering an unmatched interactive face-to-face environment to share ideas, challenges and solutions with like-minded peers.

SERVICE SPOTLIGHT – FROM INCEPTION TO PRODUCTION

While its roots are in custom injection molding, today Mack Molding is a vertically integrated product development and manufacturing partner that can help take ideas from inception through prototyping to manufacturing.

A customer’s journey can begin anywhere within Mack’s portfolio of services, including Milford, Conn.-based Synectic Medical Product Development. Founded in 1981, it focuses on design, research, development, and manufacturing of medical devices and consumer products. Synectic has built specialties in design engineering, creating intellectual property, pre-clinical testing, and manufacturing. It designs for clinical relevance, manufacturability, ergonomics, and cost efficiency.

For those customers who are little farther along, Mack Prototype in Gardner, Mass., offers rapid tooling and prototyping, as well as low volume molding. The 75,000 square foot facility is perfect for verifying part design and function before investing in tooling. With its CNC machining, fused deposition modeling (FDM), stereolithography, polyurethane molding, extensive model finishing operations, tooling and small-part molding, Mack Proto also is uniquely positioned to create workable units for customers, events or regulatory approval.

Once the product is ready for manufacturing, it can move into one of several of Mack’s manufacturing facilities located on the East Coast. For clients who have not already been working with a Mack company, the engineers in the Application Development Center (ADC) at the Mack’s Vermont Headquarters are ready to review products for functionality, cosmetics, processability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, cost, time-to-market, tooling options and more.

Whether you are interested in Mack Medical, Mack Molding, Mack Technologies, Mack Prototype or Synectic Engineering, the design function is part of a total product development solution geared toward reducing cost and time-to-market and our vertically integrated services have been organized to benefit your business throughout the product life cycle.

If you would like to schedule a specific meeting time in our booth, please contact your business development manager, or Joan Magrath, Vice President of Sales & Engineering, at joan.magrath@mack.com or (802) 375-0312.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s event – and remember you can find us at Booth No. 2615!
