Mack Molding’s Southern Division is currently seeking an Account Manager for its Statesville, N.C., location.

Account managers are critical to the success of these programs. Their responsibilities include:
- Obtaining all required customer documentation, specifications, etc. and communicating to the organization.
- Facilitating program introduction to the organization through cross-functional teams.
- Acting as the customer liaison and will manage the timeline of any developmental activities
required for the program with the customer. - Ensuring any Engineering Work Orders (EWOs) and Shop Orders are initiated as required.
- Managing of the cost model (“estimate”) for products in conjunction with the S & E Director.
- Having responsibility for all ongoing commercial and relationship aspects of customer account(s).
- Having responsibility for the ongoing demand management data supplied by customers for planning purposes.
- Managing warranty agreements and claims related to those agreements.
- Customer asset management through the life of the program.
- Maintaining customer satisfaction by effective coordination of the activities of customer service,
engineering, project management, plant operation, quality and finance to best serve customer needs. - Developing and expanding current business within assigned accounts by developing relationships and Mack’s participation in molding, painting, assembly, and contract mfg. opportunities.
- Selling and developing new tooling and programs at profitable levels.
- Following up and assisting in part cost analysis and cost reduction opportunities to improve job
profitability and customer initiatives. - Assisting Customer Service with part pricing needs as well as other customer concerns.
- Maintaining ISO compliance through the use and understanding of Mack ISO policies and procedures.
- Following all Safety rules and regulations and maintain Mack standard of housekeeping.
- Performing other duties as necessitated by change or condition as assigned by Supervisor.
- Acting as Customer Representative to ensure that customer requirements are addressed.
- Maintaining Determination of Requirements Related to Product Process.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or a related technical area, as well as a minimum of 5 years in management, with specific strengths in sales, engineering, project management, or general management associated with the plastics industry. Having an advanced degree is a strong plus. Successful candidates also will have a working knowledge of injection molding tooling and tool building practices, and injection molding processes, including secondary processes and equipment, along with working knowledge of plastic materials, properties, usages and limitations. This role also requires the capability to review CAD models, drawings, and other part presentation data, as well as good knowledge of Microsoft office, strong organizational skills and a “can do” approach to project and people management.
