In fact, Mack has an opening for first- and third-shift painters at its Cavendish Plant in beautiful Vermont.
Painting is a highly visible area where the highest levels of quality and consistency are demanded. Within this role, painters apply liquid coatings by different processing methods to a variety plastic molded and metal products for decorative and functional purposes, as well as perform pad printing, spray painting and silk screening operations. Additional responsibilities include setting up, cleaning up, troubleshooting and conducting preventative maintenance on paint equipment and workstations, including formulating painting mixtures. Mack’s painters fill out requisitions for paint, screens, equipment and supplies; operate various assembly, production equipment and hand tools; and handle, assemble, inspect, prepare and pack product and parts. He/she will perform quality inspections, and ensure all containers and hazardous materials are properly labeled and disposed.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED along with basic math and reading skills, as well as the ability to follow instructions while working in a fast-paced environment that has an atmosphere based in teamwork and cooperation. Preference will be shown to candidates with previous assembly and manufacturing experience, especially previous paint experience.
