STATESVILLE, N.C. – Garth Walbert has joined Mack Molding’s southern operations as account manager, where he will be responsible for maintaining and growing business in the heavy truck market, it was announced today by Steve Butler, business unit director at Mack’s manufacturing operation in Statesville, N.C.
“Garth brings 20 years of plastics industry expertise to Mack, ranging from tooling, production and manufacturing management to sales and account development,” says Butler. “He will hit the ground running, which is critical as we continue to grow our large-part injection molding business, particularly in the heavy truck market.
Most recently, Walbert was account/territory manager for Gage Industries, Inc., a large plastics thermoformer headquartered in Lake Oswego, Ore. During his 14-year tenure there, he broadened his expertise by working in several departments, from manufacturing to sales. Earlier, he served as account manager for TriQuest Precision Plastics, Vancouver, Wash., and sales engineer for Northwest Spring Mfg., also in Oregon.
Walbert holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oregon State University. He lives in Portland.
