ARLINGTON, Vt. – William Rogers, Jr., a 36-year manufacturing veteran, has joined Mack Molding’s headquarters plant as a manufacturing engineer, it was announced today by Plant Manager Carl Bickford.
“Beyond significant expertise, Bill also brings specialized skills that will support the business management strategies and lean manufacturing methodologies already in place at Mack,” says Bickford. “His primary focus will be to identify and implement operational efficiencies that will eliminate waste and yield stable and predictable process results.”
Armed with extensive training in Kaizen, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles, Rogers formerly worked at NSK Steering Systems America, a worldwide leader in steering system technology, and Taconic, a manufacturer of advanced engineered composite materials. In addition, he rose through the ranks over an 18-year stint at Saint-Gobain/Chemfab Corporation, a manufacturer of high performance fabrics and films, where he concluded his tenure as plant manager, North Bennington, Vt.
A graduate of Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, N.Y., and Southern Vermont College, Bennington, Vt., Rogers holds both an associate’s in mechanical technology and a bachelor’s in business management.
Rogers and his wife, Marcia, reside in Bennington, Vt., and are the parents of four children. Along with work, he enjoys five grandchildren, fishing and playing guitar.
