Inovus Solar-powered Light Poles Illuminate Mack’s Vertical Integration of Services
Mack Molding is more than a molder, as is evidenced by one of its newest products, the Inovus solar-powered light pole. Mack provides a menu of services in the manufacture of this product, including machining; sheet metal fabrication; printed circuit board assembly by its sister division, Mack Technologies; supply chain management; prototyping; final programming; 100% electronic and functional testing; and total product manufacturing. The Inovus light pole is revolutionary, offering lower installation cost — no trenching, wire, conduit, circuits, labor, or grid connection; lower operating cost — no electricity cost, ever; and sustainability — free energy from the sun. “We like the product so much, we even installed one outside the headquarters plant,” says Jeff Somple, president, Northern Operations.
